The Webster County Sheriff’s Office has received reports of an individual impersonating a law enforcement officer and contacting residents in Webster County. This individual claims to be a member of the Webster County Sheriff’s Office and informs residents that they have an outstanding warrant. They then demand payment to resolve the issue.
Please be aware that this is a SCAM. The Webster County Sheriff’s Office does not handle outstanding warrants in this manner. We will never contact individuals demanding money for warrant resolution. If you receive such a call, it is fraudulent.
