Rounding up for good causes

Board members from the Marshfield Senior Center received a grant from the Webster Electric Round-Up. Starting left to right after Holdman are Dan Wheeler, Chris Parker, Dean Rainey, and Martha Sheppard. The Center received $4,792 that will be used to reseal its asphalt parking lot.

Accepting a grant of $5,000 for the Ozark Trails Council-Boy Scouts of America is Mark Peterman (Left) and John Feick (Right). They will use the money to purchase a Zero Turn Mower at Camp Arrowhead.

Accepting a grant of $7,499.45 from Webster Electric are the Friends of Seymour Library. Representing the organization is seen from left to right. Tim White, Donna White, Richard Bell, Nicole Lucus, Doug Dennis, Judy Castle, and Mary Dennis. Friends of Seymour Library will use the money to purchase books, STEAM projects, and furniture.

Katie Robertson, Director of Parks and Recreation for the City of Rogersville, attended and received a grant of $10,000 from Webster Electric. The grant will purchase two scoreboards and lights for the city parks.

On May 4, The Webster Electric Co-Op held its second quarterly round-up grant distribution meeting. For this quarter, Webster Electric gave $29,391.45 to local non-profits to aid in their various projects, from mowers, books, and resealing to scoreboards. The Marshfield Mail will feature each organization to learn more about them and what they will use their grants for.
