Rogersville woman charged with assault

Trinity Nichole Wright, a resident of Rogersville, has been charged with a Class D Felony of Assault in the 2nd degree following an incident that occurred in the early morning of March. 7.

The following information comes from the probable cause statement from the Webster County Sheriff’s office.

Officers were called to a residence following a disturbance that had taken place prior. Witnesses told officers that Wright had arrived at the home with other people. Wright then provoked and proceeded to get into an altercation with one of the residence occupants resulting in the same individual receiving injuries. After confirming the injuries, officers then placed Wright under arrest.

Currently, Wright is out on bond and scheduled to make an initial appearance with Judge Justin Evans on March. 21. Wright could face one to seven years in the Missouri Department of Corrections, a special one-year term in county jail or an authorized penal institution, a fine up to $10,000 or a combination of jail time and fine if convicted.
