Dr. Jeffrey Rockwood, a well-respected local dentist and Navy veteran, has been promoted to the rank of Captain (O-6) in the United States Navy. With 20 years of dedicated service, Captain Rockwood has provided invaluable dental support, leadership, and mentorship to sailors, Marines, soldiers, and civilians worldwide.
Captain Rockwood currently owns and operates Rockwood Family Dental in Marshfield. He is married to Julianne Rockwood, and together, they are the proud parents of six children: Tyler, Ethan, Luke, Carson, Daisy, and Grayson.
In a special ceremony on Veterans Day, Paula Johnson, a local resident and President of the Patriotic Piecemakers chapter in Springfield, Missouri, presented Dr. Rockwood with a Quilt of Valor in recognition of his military service. The Quilt of Valor is part of a nationwide initiative to honor veterans and active-duty military members. Johnson’s chapter has awarded approximately 800 quilts to veterans from all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces in Southwest Missouri.
The Quilt of Valor presentation is a significant gesture of appreciation for Captain Rockwood's service and sacrifice. The Quilt of Valor Foundation (QOVF) invites members of the public to nominate veterans or active-duty service members for this honor. To make a nomination, visit QOVF.org and complete the online form.
Congratulations to Captain Rockwood on his promotion and for being recognized for his outstanding service both in the Navy and his community.
