Missouri has officially become the 49th state in the nation to implement hands-free driving laws. As of January 1, 2025, the Siddens Benning Hands-Free Law went into effect, banning the use of handheld electronic devices while driving, a critical step in addressing the state’s rising number of distracted driving-related crashes and fatalities.
