Varsity swim coach Ann Leonard, for Marshfield and Seymour, has begun the season with results consistently being generated as the season progresses.
On Dec. 14, the swimmers traveled to the Springfield Foster Natatorium meet.
Results from the meet are as follows:
3rd Place ,Medley Relay: Molly Cannon, Bryna Norman, Baylee Cottengim and Bayley Simmons.
4th place, 200 Free Relay: Lexi Schmidt, Bayley Simmons, Baylee Cottengim and Maggie Grace.
5th place,400 Free Relay: Maggie Grace, Dalley Dees, Lexi Schmidt, & Molly Cannon.
6th place Baylee Cottengim in 100 Breaststroke and scored 17.5 points.
Dalley Dees scored 19 points, she improved her 500 free time by 3.11 seconds and placed 7th.
Maggie Grace scored 16 points and she also had a PR in her 200 Free.
Molly Cannon scored 12 points and had a personal record in her 100 free and 100 backstroke.
Bayley Simmons scored 11.5 points and had a personal record in her 50 Free and 100 Free.
Bryna Norman achieved a personal in her 100 breaststroke, improving her time by 4.94 seconds.
The team then made their way to the Monett Invitational where two medals were achieved.
Results are as follows:
6th place, 100 Free: Maggie Grace.
8th place, 100 Breaststroke: Baylee Cottengim.
The team also had 9 personal records on the day. Lexi Schmidt won her heat and improved her 100 backstroke by 6.45 seconds, Molly Cannon has improved her times in every meet this season taking off another 3.71 sec in her 100 backstroke at Monett, scoring 8 points and Dalley Dees also had 2 personal best times at Monett, scoring 7 points.
The swimmers will be back in the pool at the West Plains Invitational on Jan. 4.
