Thank you, Wayne & Friends, for entertaining us today, Wednesday, July 26.
Join us on Wednesday, Aug. 2, for “Lunch Time Trivia.” We did this once before, and it was a hit. So come in and test your knowledge with us!
Did you know we are a cooling center during heat waves? (Or any time you need a place to cool off). We also have box fans (free) for seniors who need them. I want to thank those who donated fans so our seniors can keep cool.
Our menu for the week is July 26 – Chicken Carbonara; July 27 – Chicken Fried Steak; July 28 – Ham & Beans; July 31 – Spaghetti with Meat Sauce; August 1 – Ham Steak; August 2 – Italian Chicken. Menu subject to change without notice. Alternates are available for fish and pork.
Thank you, Webster County Retired Teachers, for delivering meals last week and First Baptist Church members for delivering meals this week.
I will continue to fill out applications for the Farmer’s Market vouchers for as long as they last. Please remember to bring proof of ID, income, and residence when you come. Please save your Best Choice UPCs and aluminum cans for the Senior Center - they are money in the bank to us!
Be sure to visit our “Li’l Library” and “Li’l Pantry” in front of our gazebo. Take what you need, and leave what you can. We appreciate all the folks who help us keep our Li’l Pantry supplied – there are a lot of hungry people out there, and we are proud to be able to help them.
You can reach the Senior Center by calling 417-859-3555 Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. If you call after hours, please leave a message, and I will return your call as soon as possible.
If you haven’t already, why not like and share our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/MarshfieldSeniorCenterSeniorAgeMo/.
You know you’re getting old when you drive with your signal light on for an entire trip because you can’t hear it. (Or see it?).
