It’s Senior Farmer’s Market Voucher Nutrition Program time again! Beginning Monday, June 5, from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. (and every Monday in June), we will sign folks up for $50.00 in vouchers to spend on fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, and honey at the Farmer’s Market. Please bring proof of all income, residency (like a utility bill), and a photo ID to qualify. I will also be at the Fair Grove Senior Center every Thursday in June from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. if you want to sign up there. This and all of our programs are for those aged 60 and older.
I am accepting applications for our CSFP “Senior Box.” It is a 35-40-pound box of shelf-stable foods and a box of cheese which is distributed once a month to Webster County residents only. Income guidelines apply. Bring proof of income, residence, and a photo ID to apply.
Free Life Alerts are available from the Webster County Senior Citizens Tax Fund Board. If you are over 60, live alone, and fear falling, please stop by the Senior Center to pick up an application. There is no setup fee and no monthly charge.
Our menu for the week is May 31 – Garlic Cheddar Chicken; June 1 – Chicken Fried Steak; June 2 – Chicken Carbonara; June 5 – Chicken & Dumplings; June 6 – Taco Salad; June 7 – BBQ Chicken. Menu subject to change without notice. Alternates are available for fish and pork.

We are raffling off a new blue Deluxe Voyage Portable Scooter. Tickets are just $20.00 each and can be purchased at the Senior Center. The drawing will be on June 9 – just in time for Father’s Day!
Visit our “Li’l Library” and “Li’l Pantry” in front of our gazebo. Take what you need, and leave what you can. We appreciate all the folks who help us keep our Li’l Pantry supplied – there are a lot of hungry people out there, and we are proud to be able to help them.
