The Southwest Baptist University Area of Music hosted a band competition as part of the annual Homecoming parade on Oct. 2, through downtown Bolivar and the SBU campus.
Parade bands were judged on music, marching, auxiliary groups, drumline, and drum major.
Award winners included the Conway High School Band, which took Class 2 second place, led by Director Zack Hoar, and the Strafford High School Band, which won Class 3 third-place, directed by Rusty Lee.
Strafford also won Best Auxilary Group at the event.
