International Director Deb Weaverling will be a guest at the upcoming Lions Club District Conference. District M6 Convention “Forged in Service” will be held March 31-April 1 at the DoubleTree by Hilton (2431 N. Glenstone) in Springfield.
"We've been really encouraging more women in Lions and trying to shine a light on the women in Lions that we do have," said Debbie Cantrell. "So it's cool to have International Director Deb Weaverling visit our district."
Friday evening will offer a chance for Lions to network and visit with International Director Deb Weaverling and her spouse, Lion Ron. There will also be a cash bar.
Saturday will offer information and service projects throughout the day. Saturday evening will wrap up the event with the banquet session. Doors for the banquet open at 6 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m. Lions will celebrate with awards, voting results and more.
