It is the Biggest Party of the Year, and you are invited

Posted

For the last 16 years, the Marshfield Area Community Foundation has thrown a party to celebrate and  give out tens of thousands of dollars in grants to local non-profit groups and charities. This year in 2022, we have decided to throw an even bigger party and everyone is invited. On Sept 10, 2022, the Boots, Bands, & BBQ will launch as a new Music Festival held here in Marshfield at the Fairgrounds. This year we will feature the bands the Mudflaps and Eastern Heights to jamb out for the night. There will be a food truck village, a beer garden, several select vendors and of course our VIP area that will feature great seats, free food and drinks and some great opportunities to win some fantastic prizes.  In between bands, we will give out over $25,000 to organizations and groups who have applied for our annual grants and give the community a chance to learn more about the Marshfield Area Community Foundation.

In the last 16 years the Marshfield Area Community Foundation has raised over $5 million dollars and has given $2.5 million dollars back into our local community in the form of grants.  Our grant application period is July 1-July 29, 2022 and any non-profit group is eligible for grant requests.  The grant application can be found on www.cfozarks.org.

“After what all we have been through in the last few years, we feel it is a great time to bring Boots Bands & BBQ to the public and let the community be a part of the many amazing things that the Marshfield Area Community Foundation has done over the years in our community,”commented Dustin Ross President. “The 2022 Boots Bands and BBQ Music Festival will be a huge event and a great time for family and friends to gather, have some amazing food and listen to live music right here in the center of Marshfield. This is in addition to seeing some really great deserving organizations receive grant money that helps them survive each and every year. I was once told money will not make you happy and that is not true. Money will make you happy once you learn to give it away and I love giving money to these groups and individuals each and every year.”

Marshfield Area Community Foundation is currently seeking local businesses and people that want to contribute and be part of this amazing gesture that happens each and every year.  Sponsorship opportunities, volunteer opportunities, and just ways to be involved with this organization can be found at our local Chamber of Commerce office with Rachel Andrews at (417) 859-3925.
