Residents of Fordland are gathering Feb. 12 from 12 p.m.-1 p.m to chat about the city of Fordland’s future. The meeting will take place in Fordland City Hall at 296 Burks St and open to the public.

The gathering, better known as the Fordland Community Betterment Meeting, is doing just as the name implies. The group is best known for its contributions and dedication to the Wild West Days The President of Fordland Community Betterment Association, Tim Budd, is excited to see what the meeting has in store.

“My hope for Fordland is to make Fordland a better Community, for ourselves as well as surrounding Communities,” explained Budd.

The meetings typically focus on improvements for Fordland’s grandest event Wild West Days, as well as other community developments.

“We get ideas on the direction we would like to go and what we would like to see at Wild West Days in August, as well as things for the park, projects for beautification of Fordland,” said Budd. “We welcome our town(s) to encourage its Citizens to enjoy the festivities of each other.”

The association meets monthly to discuss the future for Fordland. If interested to know more, visit their Facebook page: Fordland Betterment Association.
