Don’t rain on our parade

Posted

Thursday evening the rain subsided just in time for the Blue Jay Homecoming parade to take place. The parade began at the Marshfield Justice Center, where floats lined the streets, and then it made its way around the square, down Washington Street to Locust, and ended at the R.A. Barr Stadium.

Fans and students lined the streets to support the football squad before the day before the big homecoming game.

The parade featured class floats and showcased the 2021 Homecoming Court candidates. Marshfield High School’s football team, cheerleading squad, and Jaywalker dance team were escorted by the WSCO, the juniors and underclassmen walked alongside the firetrucks as the seniors were allowed to ride on top of them during the route of the parade.
