Conviction made in Taney County

Posted

Kenneth Livingston, of Marshfield, has been found guilty in the death of both his wife Lyndsey Livngtson and his mother-in-law, Kristree Bedgood. According to the Webster County Prosecutor’s Office, the trial began Oct 25 and ended just four days later.

Livingston pled not guilty. However, the jury convicted him on all six counts.

Livngston was charged with multiple felonies, including first-degree murder in his mother-in-law’s death, second-degree murder in his wife’s death, one count of first-degree assault, one count of assault with a deadly weapon and three counts of armed criminal action. Livingston was convicted of all accounts, including first degree murder.

Ben Berkstresser, Webster County Prosecuting Attorney will be seeking the maximum punishment.

“He was convicted of second-degree murder and the range of punishment for that is life or 10 to 30 years in prison. I would look for life on that charge. He was also convicted of first-degree murder, but I did not seek the death penalty, so there is only one punishment for that charge, which is life without parole, said Berkstresser. “Because the first-degree murder charge has only one available punishment, I am going to ask for the maximum punishment on everything.”

Berkstresser and his team worked tirelessly to help the victims' family seek justice against crimes committed almost three years ago.

Livingston is scheduled for a sentencing hearing on February 22 at 1:30pm in Taney County.
