With activities for all ages, from breakfast with Santa to a bustling Christmas market and the annual parade, this year’s Christmas in Marshfield is shaping up to be a celebration you won’t want to miss.
Breakfast with Santa: A Magical Start to the Day
Kick off your holiday season with Breakfast with Santa at Shook Elementary starting at 10:00 a.m. This event is perfect for families with children in Pre-K through 5th grade. Little ones can enjoy a delicious donut breakfast, make festive crafts, and even snap a photo with jolly old St. Nick himself.
Parents, don’t worry—coffee will be available to keep you energized as you enjoy the holiday atmosphere. Best of all, this magical morning is completely free of charge!
"This is my third year as Chamber Director and the first time we've had Breakfast with Santa so we're really excited to bring back this event," Andrews said. "We've had cookies & cocoa the last two years and this year the board decided to switch things up."
The breakfast event will also offer children from Pre-K to 5th grade the opportunity to "shop" from the Chamber's childrens market to "purchase" gifts for their friends and family members.
"The kids will be given little coupons that they can spend at our market," explained Andrews. "We're so excited to be able to bring that so that the kids can come and have a little bit of fun buying gifts that morning as well."
The Marshfield Saddle Club will also provide craft activities for those in attendance.
Holiday Market: A Shopper’s Paradise
From noon to 6:00 p.m., head to the Marshfield Square for the Holiday Market where local vendors will be offering unique gifts, festive treats, and a wide array of holiday finds. Whether you’re on the hunt for the perfect present or just looking for some seasonal cheer, you’re sure to find something special.
"Many of our Chamber members are a part of this market, and we've had a bunch of other sign ups as well, so it's shaping up to be a large number of vendors for the community to shop from," she added.
Live Entertainment: Get Into the Holiday Spirit
The entertainment kicks off at 1:00 p.m. with a performance by local Webster County talent, Isaac Kenneth. Following Isaac’s set, the Marshfield High School Choir will take the stage, bringing beautiful holiday harmonies to the square. True North Movement will also perform, keeping the festive vibes going with their live performance.
Marshfield Christmas Parade: Christmas Around the World
The highlight of the day, the Marshfield Christmas Parade, will begin making its way to the square at 5:00 p.m. This year's theme is "Christmas Around the World" and the parade will follow a new route, so be sure to take note of the updates!
- Parade Lineup will begin at 4:00 p.m. at the Webster County Fairgrounds.
- The parade will start at 5:00 p.m., entering the Square on N Clay Street and circling around the square for all to enjoy.
- The parade will then exit the square at North Marshall Street and head back to the fairgrounds to wrap up the evening.
This year’s parade promises to be bigger and better than ever, featuring festive floats, holiday-themed performances, and a community spirit that’s sure to put a smile on everyone’s face.
"I'm just looking forward to the parade growing bigger again this year with more entries and getting more people involved," Andrews said.
"I'm excited about the new route... we had to move the lineup to the fairgrounds this year is because the last two years it's just gotten so long, it was down Washington Street all the way to DD Highway. We can't have the parade lineup extending to a state highway... so we moved it to the fairgrounds, and I think it's going to be good for lining up all of our participants. I'm really excited just to see all of the floats that people come up with for this year's theme."
