Chamber recognizes Marshfield community staples at annual award ceremony

Posted

The Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce hosted its Annual Meeting on Saturday, Oct. 23 at the Marshfield Community Center. The evening was complete with a meal catered by Sheila’s Place, beverages by Boat Town Brewing and a ceremony recognizing local award winners.

“We had a very good turn out this year with nearly 150 people in attendance,” said Chamber Coordinator Kellee Fiscus. “It was an honor to celebrate the people in our community that do so much for others.”

Kim Clift recapped the year, citing nearly 220 attendees at last year’s Breakfast with Santa event and Christmas parade despite the pandemic adjustments and a large number of ribbon cuttings held by the Chamber, further exemplifying our cities resilient growth.

“We also introduced the Chamber Bucks program last year, which kept about $18,000 here in the community,” Clift added. “We also partnered with the Bicentennial Governor’s visit in Marshfield and hosted the 142nd Annual Marshfield Independence Day Parade with record attendance.”

A special thanks was given to Norma Robertson who has served 15 years voluntarily at the Chamber. Recognition was also given to new coordinator, Kellee Fiscus who replaces Kasey Mathews.

“Thank you to all who came to the event and supported these wonderful people. Their dedication to our community shows greatly,” Fiscus said. “I cannot wait to see who our nominees are for next year and the great things to come in our community.”
