A Greene County pursuit resulted in the arrest of a Springfield man Sunday night in Marshfield. 20-year-old Tylinn Javon White led Greene County deputies on a chase to Webster County, where the suspect fled from his vehicle on foot about two miles west of Marshfield on Genetti Lane.
The Highway Patrol reported to the Mail that the suspect then hid underneath a white 2014 Ford Expedition owned by a 36-year-old Marshfield woman. When she began driving, White was hanging onto the undercarriage and was dragged by the vehicle until he lost his grip and was ultimately ran over around 9:45 p.m. on June 18. He was released to Greene County deputies and taken to the Greene County Jail after being checked by medical responders on the scene. The Highway Patrol lists his injuries as minor.
According to CaseNet, a judge signed a warrant for White’s arrest on Friday, June 16. He is charged with first-degree burglary, first-degree tampering with a motor vehicle and stealing relating to a crime that occurred on June 14.
