A slick recovery

Posted

As the winter precipitation continues to sweep through the Ozarks, the slick roads can make for dangerous driving conditions. A slip off the road resulted in a driver stuck on the railroad tracks Monday, but several citizens in Niangua stepped up to help. Immediately after veering from the roadway onto the railroad tracks in town, seven men jumped out of their vehicles and came running from the gas station to start pushing. When that didn’t work, a chain and truck were utilized to help get her off the tracks, reminding us of the neighborly acts of kindness that are often displayed in Webster County communities.
