After five powerful sets, the Marshfield Christian School Lady Eagles got its volleyball season started with a win over Trinity Christian School, 3-2, last Tuesday, Oct. 11. The MCS team ranges in age groups from sixth grade through 11th.

One of the things that makes this team notable is inclusion. No member is a benchwarmer. Every player gets the chance to shine, including Abbi Novotny. Novotny scored a point against Trinity and helped lead the MCS Lady Eagles to victory. Abbi has Down syndrome and despite her disability, she is still an asset to the team. Each player contributes to the team in her own unique way, with their God-given talents. The MCS Lady Eagles model 1 Peter 4:10 which states, “As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.”
