On Dec. 15, the Fordland FFA chapter awarded new and old FFA members with degrees.
There were a total of six Greenhand FFA degrees awarded and six Chapter FFA degrees. First-year members received the bronze pin of the Greenhand degree and a certificate. Chapter members are second-year members who earned their silver emblem pin and a certificate. The Greenhand FFA degrees were passed out by Fordland FFA president Garrett Uchtman and FFA parliamentarian Tyler Jackson. The chapter degrees were awarded to members by Clayton Tunnell, agriculture teacher at Fordland High School. Members, parents and guests also enjoyed a slideshow of the semester’s activities and refreshments afterwards.
FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
