“Rain, rain, go away, little Johnny wants to play.” I think that has been hitting everybody, with farmers wanting to put up hay. This for most has been a wet summer so far. That jet stream will change its course come July and August, probably. Hurricanes are next on the menu I guess.

The Baptist Ladies Luncheon was pretty well a full house on July 13. Everyone was glad to get out and about after a winter and spring stay-in. The next one will be in August.

Summer School is out this week, I think. Lions Club Baseball for the young grade school children will be over before long, also. Enjoy  all the summer fun things , because it will be back to school for most before they get vacation over with.

Sympathy to families who have lost loved ones, especially Beverly (Roberson) Brawley, Junior and Wayne and families, Juanita (Todd) Hill who was raised here in our area and was sister to Wilma Todd Barker and cousins to Debbie Hays Gray and Marlene Hays .

Glad to hear Dwayne Lamkins is back to work after four bypasses for heart lately. I hope Becky Maroney is better after a bout with bronchitis. I never saw so many allergies and sinus problems as this year — also some pneumonia.

I am  one of those that had sinus problems. I got some antibiotics and I was allergic to them. My nose, mouth  and eyes were swollen, so I had to get something different. Maybe getting one year older on the 17th of this month didn’t help either.

I’ve moved back to Conway from the Fremont Center into the Senior Apartments. I feel like I’ve been tossed around like a balloon or something. The move kept me from writing an article for last week, but I hope to be on track weekly now that I’m settled .

Everyone be careful as July 4 celebration is just around the corner. Be careful with fireworks and enjoy the holiday without any accidents.

Happy birthday to Dave Perryman on the July 4. I hear he’s spending it with all the children and grandchildren.

Dave Perryman and the Country Revue will be playing  Flying R Ranch on July 5, the Hughes Center on July 6, Branson at Treasure Lake on July 13 and the Ozark Empire Fair on July 30.

Blessings to all until next week.
