Summer is already here as the hot and muggy days have appeared already before the first day of summer makes the scene on June 21. Look out for July and August, which will most likely be hot and dry. Our weather is changing faster than the days, hours and weeks go by, it seems to me.

Retired teachers will meet May 31 at the Rocking Chair in Conway at noon.

Class reunions are coming up, including meetings of the classes of 1951 and 1956. The Morgan all-school reunion will meet June 8 at the Rocking Chair in Conway.

A good crowd attended Terry Wood’s Steel Guitar Show at the Conway Community Center. I got to see and visit with people I hadn’t seen for a while.

Dave Perryman and Band will play at the Star Theatre in Willow Springs this Friday, the Hughes Center in Lebanon Saturday, and the Elks Lodge in Springfield June 7.

Blessings to all until next week.
