Pastor Bob Holden’s 2 p.m. class Sunday was based on Acts 2:1-22; with much discussion and learning, we ended in one accord.

Our music began with LeTicia presenting us with a solo at the piano, then continued with some old hymns, “All Hail the Power,” “O Worship the King” and “O for a Thousand Tongues.”

Pastor Bob’s message was “God Does the Appointing and the Anointing.” He began by borrowing a statement from Brad Bradshaw’s TV commercial, “You may like what I say, or you may hate what I say, but I will always tell you the truth.” His message was based on Romans 13:1-5, “Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisters the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.”

The closing prayer followed with the hymn “Lead On, O King Eternal.” We also sang “Happy Birthday” to Don. We send our thanks to Franklin Graham and others who called for this special day of prayer for President Donald Trump.
