Leonard Harlan Moffett, Marshfield, was born Nov. 24, 1944, in Columbia, Missouri, to Harlan and Leota (Singleton) Moffett. He departed this life on April 12, 2019, in Cox South Hospital, Springfield.

Leonard worked for the State of Missouri prison system as a guard in charge of the housing unit. He served in the Navy on the SS Sylvania in Vietnam, then in the Army Reserve. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Jefferson City, Missouri, and of American Legion Post 558 of Malta Bend. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping, the St. Louis Cardinals and anything outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by his sister, Alice Moffett.

He is survived by his children, Patsy Heusted (William), Marshall, Angie Kramm, Salem, Tammy LaRue, Stover, and Shelly Gardner (Danny), Marshfield; siblings Leslie Moffett (Juliene), South Padre Island, Texas, and Linda Britt (Jerry), Pontee, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Services are pending under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home.
