June (Hall) Day

June (Hall) Day, 83, Conway, Missouri, was born April 6, 1936, to Arthur and Ruby (Bodine) Hall in Topeka, Kansas, and departed this life June 26, 2019.
On Jan. 11, 1954, she married Joe Bill Day, and to this union two children were born. June loved and adored Joe Bill “Poppy” and her family. She was a member of the Conway Christian Church for nearly 60 years. June was known for her cake-decorating skills. She made her daughter Debi’s wedding cake as well as three of her grandchildren’s wedding cakes. June was also a great cook and loved hosting her family meals. She also hosted countless Fourth of July Celebrations and swim parties. June always looked forward to her annual "Girls Trip" to Branson!

She was an avid bowler and had a 500 series one season. She won many bowling trophies with the Pin Twisters and the Alley Cats. June loved cats! She also loved and cared for their dogs and fed the birds. Strays, whether animal or human, were always welcomed and fed by June. She loved growing flowers and certainly had a “green thumb.” June was filled with grit and determination. One winter when “Poppy” was sick, she milked all by herself. She also shot bottle rockets at a few traveling salesmen in her lifetime!
