Jimmy Dale “Catfish” Andrus, age 82, of Marshfield, Missouri, passed away on May 4, 2019, in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Missouri. He was born on July 4, 1936, in Oto, Stone County, Missouri, to Lawson and Rebecca (Disheroon) Andrus.
Mr. Andrus was a veteran of the U.S. Army. His occupation prior to retirement was a truck driver.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his wife, Mitzi (Waters) Andrus, of the home in Marshfield, Missouri; two sons, Donald (and Teresa) Andrus, of Battlefield, Missouri, and Darrell Andrus of Aurora, Missouri; one brother, Billy Dee Andrus of Cantil, California; one sister, Peggy Moore of Springfield, Missouri; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, 5234 W. State Highway EE, Springfield, Missouri. Pastor Tony Combs officiated. Military honors were provided. Visitation was from 1 to 2 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home North prior to the graveside service.
Services were under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home North, 3506 N. National Ave., Springfield.
