Betty Nadine (Stewart) Callaway

Betty Nadine (Stewart) Callaway, daughter of Tim and Leona Stewart, was born March 10, 1931, in Treece, Oklahoma, and departed this life May 9, 2019, at Marshfield Care Center.

At the time of her passing she was 88 years old.

On May 5, 1951, Betty was united in marriage to John Callaway. They were blessed with four children. Betty spent her life taking care of her family and helping John on the farm. She was a good cook, and she loved hosting family dinners and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also loved going to Stewart family gatherings and traveling with John all over the country and visiting family in North Platte, Nebraska.

Betty and John attended St. Luke Methodist Church for many years. They loved their church family and most of all loved serving and worshiping their savior, Jesus Christ.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband, parents and an infant daughter, Nancy Jean; a sister, Ruth Davidson (Shorty); an infant brother and three other brothers, Billy Stewart, Royal Stewart (Velma), and Gene Stewart (Lois); a son-in-law, Joe Young; and a great-grandson, Jaxson Callaway.

She is survived by her children, John R. Callaway (Jill), David Callaway, Sherry Young and Sue Rader (Gary); nine grandchildren, Susan Ivie, Brian Young, Kevin Young, Emily Peck, Andy Callaway, Aaron Callaway, Janeen Rader, Janie Hall and Adam Callaway; one brother, Gary Stewart (Dorothy); 22 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral services were at 10  a.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2019, in Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., with interment following in St. Luke Cemetery.
