Sunday’s services began under a rainy sky. After the morning song, Angela Milligan led in prayer. Some of those mentioned on the prayer list included Richard Cook, Michelle Yeager, Nancy McGehee, Kevin Keeler, Gloria Cologna, Patsy Lummis, Karen Milligan, Matt Clift, Dwaine Becker and church camp. Eugene Underwood led the call to worship by reading Romans 6:11-14, “Ending Envy.” Phillip Ragsdale led the adults in “Hearts United in Love,” taken from Colossians 2.

For worship services, the special song was “King of the Jungle” by Elijah Davenport. Elijah was presented a Bible book for his recent dedication. The communion message was from John 1:1-14, on “The Word was God.” The morning message was “Jesus, the Light, the Living Water and the Word of the World.”

For evening services, specials were by Josh Becker and the Davenports, “I’ll Fly Away,” and “You are my Sunshine” by Elijah Davenport. The evening message was from the seventh chapter of Revelation on how God’s people will be preserved.

Thought for the week: “Life has no reverse. It can only be lived in the present with a sense of hope and desire for the future.”
