The GRO Marshfield received a grant in the amount of $5,000 for leadership development training efforts within Webster County by way of the 12-week GRO Marshfield leadership program.

The grant was just one of the six microgrants (individually capped at $5,000) presented to organizations representing the rural counties of the Missouri Job Center’s Ozark Region, including Christian, Dallas, Polk, Stone, Taney and Webster. These grants were created to encourage innovation in supporting workforce needs and leaders in rural communities.

“Our grant will go towards training new leaders in our community and setting up a sustainable leadership program that will be ongoing and offered several times a year,” said Sheri Benson with the GRO Marshfield program.
