Another week of soccer is in the books for schools in Webster County.
The Marshfield Lady Jays' first game of the week was on their home turf as Greenfield paid a visit on April 4. After two quarters, the Blue Jays would win 4-0, with Junior Calli Watson scoring all four goals.
The Jays' next match on April 6 had them defending home again, with Branson visiting for the match. While the Jays played hard and Watson did score a goal, it was not enough, as Branson would defeat Marshfield with a final score of 2-1.
Their last match of the week had the Jays travel to Monett. It was here the teams would go into a penalty shootout with the Jays winning 2-1. Special shout-outs go to Freshmen Goalkeeper Katelyn York for her saves and kickers Calli Watson, Sydney Strain, Brianna Hanson, and Tia Snow, who secured the Blue Jay victory. The Marshfield Lady Jays soccer team is now 7-2 on the season.
On the south side of the county, the Logan-Rogersville Wildcats kicked off the week by first taking on Hillcrest at home on April 5. After many kicks and dashes, L-R defeated Hillcrest with a final score of 3-0.
The 'Cats next match on April 6 took them on the road to Cassville. The Wildcats scored their second victory of the week with the final score being 4-0. The Logan-Rogersville Wildcats Girls’ soccer team is 6-3 this season.
