Warm weather promises treasure seekers, thrifty shoppers and tire kickers all one thing: yard sales. In fact, the 1st Annual Webster County Yard Sale takes place Friday, June 3 and Saturday, June 4. The yard sale spans the entirety of Webster County including the cities of Seymour, Rogersville, Diggins, Fordland and Marshfield. Citizens are encouraged to travel throughout the county and find bargains and treasures at every stop.
Seymour is taking the event one step further by offering an assortment of activities and goodies to accompany the event.
“We will have the Rolling Steed serving lunch and dinner while you are out shopping all the sales, live Music in the Park featuring the Ozarks Travelers starting at 7 p.m.,” shared Terry Penner, Seymour’s Community Development Director and orchestrator behind the Webster County Community Yard Sale. “The King’s food pantry will be having their ‘Trash Can Feed’ starting at 6 p.m. and there will be SnowBiz shaved ice and the Seymour Tiger Band’s Bake Sale. There truly is something for everyone in Seymour this weekend.”
