Virus busters continue free testing in Webster County

Posted

Free state sponsored COVID-19, Influenza A/B and RSV testing is being offered through the Spring of 2024 at the Webster County Health Department, located at 233 E. Washington Street in Marshfield.

“We receive support from the state for this free drive-through testing and they’ve been here for about two years now. We’re one of the few places in the state that continues to receive that support,” said Health Unit Administrator Scott Allen. “We’re abundantly blessed to continue to have the state’s support in making this available in Webster County.”

The testing is done with quad swab technology, which tests for all four viruses with one swab.

A representative of NextGen Diagnostic Services said, “We are committed, as the one of the few free testing options available in Missouri, to keeping all members of our community safe. Our testing process is simple and convenient:

We provide 4 tests on 1 swab: Covid-19, Influenza A, Influenza B, RSV. All sites are drive-thru allowing for ease of access and safety for each patient. All tests are free, and results are returned within 24-48 hours. No proof of insurance or residency necessary.”

Free state-sponsored testing is currently available in Marshfield every Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For more information, contact the Webster County Health Department at 417-859-2532.
