The Starvey Creek Bluegrass Festival is back and under new management. This year’s Bluegrass Festival will boast an impressive lineup of musical acts, along with food from several local vendors and other activities.
Several famous bluegrass acts will be performing throughout this week, including Rhonda Vincent and The Rage on Friday and Saturday. Vincent is a Missourian who boasts a membership in the Grand Ole Opry, along with a Grammy Award. Vincent will be performing Friday and Saturday. Vincent will be joined by other renowned acts such as Russell Moore and Illard Tyme Out, The Little Roy & Lizzy Show, the Kody Norris Show, and Josh Williams.
Information on the festival’s schedule can be found on starvycreek.com
Although the Day family has stepped away from the Festival after almost four decades, Aaron and Amy McDaris, of Hartville, who now run the festival, promise a memorable experience as they have been for the last 37 years.
“Everything will go about the same as how the Day family did it,” says McDaris, “Since it isn’t broke, we’re not going to fix it. However, we will be including a Wednesday night show this year.”
The festival’s food lineup will include smoked barbeque, catfish, succotash, pies, pork rinds, and kettle corn.
The festival will take place at 1933 Bluegrass Road, Conway, MO 65632 and will run from Wednesday, July 5 to Saturday, July, 8.
