Pulling for the Kids returns to fairgrounds

Posted

The Webster Lodge #98 is celebrating its 23rd Annual Pulling for the Kids Truck and Tractor Pull this Saturday, June 3. The event will take place at the Webster County Fairgrounds beginning at 5 p.m. through midnight.

“Last year we were able to raise enough money to fund the Niangua Backpack Program, almost in its entirety,” said Lodge Master Shawn Horton. “We also gave a sizable chunk to Marshfield. Anytime we’re able to raise money for a 501c3, the Masonic Home will triple that so it’s very effective. If we raise $10,000 to give away, they turn that into $30,000.”

This year’s funds will again be distributed through direct donations to Marshfield School District Backpack Program and the Niangua School District Backpack Program.

“We are grateful for those who have supported this event and other fundraisers in the past,” added officer Champ Herron. “We hope everyone will come out Saturday and have a good time for a good cause.”

Gates will open at 5 p.m. and tickets are available for purchase from any lodge member in advance or at the gate for $10 per adult (12+) and $5 for children (6-11). Kids 5 and under are free.
