The Missouri Walk of Fame was started in 2006 by the Cherry Blossom Festival Committee. Every year they pick six famous Missourians who range from actors, authors, athletes, singers, and presidents, to David Leong, credited for inventing Springfield Style Cashew Chicken. Each inductee is recognized for their contribution to the greater good of Missouri.
