Join us at Wendy's on Saturday, Aug. 12, for a Wendy's Fundraiser. Go to our Facebook page; /MarshfieldSeniorCenterSeniorAgeMO, and show them our flyer's electronic version; we will receive 30% of eligible sales. Or stop by the Senior Center for a copy of the paper flyer to show: sales do not qualify for the 30% unless you show the flyer. Thank you, Wendy's of Marshfield!

Wednesday, Aug. 9, Seymour Bank will sponsor our lunch. Please tell them how much you appreciate their generosity. Did you know we are a cooling center during heat waves? (Or any time you need a place to cool off!) We also have box fans (free) for seniors who need them. I want to thank those who donated fans so our seniors can keep cool.

Our menu for the week is Aug. 9 – Chicken Carbonara; Aug. 10 – Beef Liver & Onions or Soup; Aug. 11 – Open-Faced Roast Beef; Aug. 14 – Spaghetti with red or Alfredo sauce; Aug.15 – Taco Salad; Aug. 16 – Oven-Fried Chicken. Menu subject to change without notice. Alternates are available for fish and pork.

Thank you, Faith Southern Baptist Church members, for delivering meals last week, and Sonrise Christian Church members for delivering meals this week.

I still have applications for the Farmer's Market vouchers: come in and sign up for yours today. Please remember to bring proof of ID, income, and residence when you come.

Please save your Best Choice UPCs and aluminum cans for the Senior Center - they are money in the bank to us!

Be sure to visit our "Li’l Library" and "Li’l Pantry" in front of our gazebo. Take what you need, and leave what you can. We appreciate all the folks who help us keep our Li’l Pantry supplied – there are a lot of hungry people out there, and we are proud to be able to help them.

You can reach the Senior Center by calling 417-859-3555 Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. If you call after hours, please leave a message, and I will return your call as soon as possible.

If you haven't already, why not like and share our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/MarshfieldSeniorCenterSeniorAgeMo/.
