In 2021, Safe Haven of Rogersville launched the Larry Martin Memorial Community Garden with a mission to provide a teaching element within the Rogersville community while providing fresh produce to the Safe Haven Now food panties.
The organization is hosting a seed exchange event on Feb. 12 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Logan Rogersville Fire Station #13427 MO-125. Admission to participate is $20 and at minimum 3 packets of seeds to exchange. All proceeds from the event go towards supplies to maintain the community garden. The event will include the opportunity to plant seeds while enjoying light snacks.
The organizations is in search of volunteers to assist with the community garden. Openings include serving on the committee, planting, watering and building projects for the coming year.
