Girls Swim Preview


The 22-23 Girls Swim season kicks off next week on December 1 in Carthage for the All Relays meet. 

This year the team is being lead by five seniors, three of those seniors being fourth year swimmers: Maggie Grace, Dalley Dees and Bryan Norma. “The 200 Freestyle is (Grace and Dees) strongest events,” shared Coach Ann Leonard. “They will both be great leaders for their team this year.

Norma, who is also involved in the schools Theater Department will begin her senior swim season after the production finishes up. “She is a breaststroker and a great encourager for her team,” complimented Coach Leonard.

In addition, Seniors Bayley Simmons and Molly Cannon are returning to the team. “We are so excited to have both of them,” shared Coach Leonard. “Their swimming has improved so much from last year.

Sophomore Lexi Schmidt is a returning Varsity Swim Letter winner. “She is a strong swimmer and I am excited to see more improvements throughout this season,” detailed Coach Leonard.

“We are excited to have five Freshmen swimming this year; Molly Henry, Keeley Devoto, Addison Hoefer, Kaylee Wallace and Kaylee Meisenheimer,” added Coach Leonard. “We have a lot of great potential in this group of girls.”
