Marshfield High School Golf Team gets to join professionals

Posted

On July 15th, members of various middle and high school golfers, including some of the Marshfield High Boys and Girls Golf team, participated in the Bryan Properties Junior Professional and Amateur golf event. This event allowed junior golfers to spend time and get pointers from professionals. The event was focused more on the experience and not so much about the score. It’s not often you get to learn from professionals. Each team also had a sponsor that allowed them to join the tournament. Those included Thompson Buick, Mid-Missouri Bank, Ozark Electric, and Marshfield’s Optimist Club.

Representing Marshfield were Sophomore Michael Alves, Juniors Marlee Edgeman, Wyatt Davis, and Luke Gardner, who recently graduated. In addition, the Marshfield team was paired with professional golfer Mark Budler. The young golfers wanted to thank Budler for his time and the Marshfield Optimist Club, which had been partnering with the Marshfield High-school golf club for five years. Without their donation, this would not be possible.
