Linda Dickinson from the Webster County Museum was recently the guest speaker at the October meeting of the Cherry Blossom Festival Auxiliary at the Webster County Library in Marshfield. Dickinson spoke about the Museum and the Webster County Historical Society’s history. Following the meeting, several auxiliary members walked over to the Museum for a tour. The Cherry Blossom Festival Auxiliary is the volunteer organization of the annual Cherry Blossom Festival and works annually to support the festival with volunteer hours and needed resources. They traditionally sponsor the Cherry Blossom Quilt Show, Teacher’s Breakfast, assist with the Cherry Blossom Tea and take care of the festival merchandise table. They also take several educational and historical trips throughout the year. The following officers were elected for the 2023 festival season: Jeanette Alcorn (President); Sarah Inman (Vice President); Jill Campbell (Secretary); Rachel Andrews (Treasurer) and Joyce Inman (Chaplain).
