The Strafford community kicked off a fantastic showing of patriotism at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 4 with a parade downtown.
From George Washington on a bass boat to children with super soakers spraying the crowd, everyone found something to enjoy at this year’s festivities.
The Strafford High School Color Guard followed the Strafford Police to start the parade. They were closely followed by the Strafford Indian Band and a float honoring local veterans, who received roars from the crowd.
The parade continued with local vehicles, ATVs, UTVs, golf carts, tractors, horses, and even lawnmowers, all decked out in patriotic decorations. The parade closed with the passing of a Strafford fire truck and a lone horseman.
