Boil order lifted

Posted

Wednesday, Feb. 8 - 10:45 a.m. update: "The water sample came back good and the boil order has been lifted," said Carmen Cheek, city clerk.

Previous story:

Due to a break in the main water line, the City of Niangua is currently under a boil order until further notice. Water samples were collected and sent off for testing last week, with an update on the issue is expected early this week.

However, the city is still waiting on water samples results, meaning the boil order remains in effect.

We have bottled water here at the city that was supplied by Emergency Management,” explained Carmen Cheek, city clerk. “Those who are in immediate need can call stop by city hall or call us at 417-473-6449 and we will get some to you.”

The city expects to receive results Wednesday, Feb. 8 and will have an update following. Watch for an updated article on Facebook at Marshfield Mail or visit this article on www.marshfeldmail.com.
