Andrews named Associate Editor

Posted

Alyssa Andrews has been named Associate Editor of the Marshfield Mail. The decision was made earlier this month by Deanna Moore, publisher of the newspaper.

Andrews has represented the Mail for the last eight months covering pivotal moments in Webster County history; from celebrating local heroes to breaking local news.

I am thrilled to name Alyssa associate editor of the Marshfield Mail,” shared Moore. “Alyssa is a wonderful asset to our newspaper and to the Marshfield community. I cannot wait to see her continue to excel at covering Webster County news.”

Andrews is a Marshfield and Drury graduate, with a dynamic resume. She is excited to use her experiences and admiration for the community to continue the Mail’s legacy.

"I've known since the moment Alyssa joined the Mail team that she would be a special asset to our newspaper and our community," said exiting Editor Shelby Atkison, who is now Managing Editor of the Laclede County Record. "I've had the privilege of calling her a friend for nearly two decades and I couldn't be more proud to leave the paper in her hands."

“I’m so thankful to be apart of a community that wants to see me succeed. I couldn’t do this without the support of my family, friends, co-workers and readers,” smiled Andrews. “ I am just excited to jump right in knowing I have that support.”

The Marshfield Mail is a publication of Phillips Media, a multi-media company serving community newspapers in Missouri, Illinois and Arkansas. The Mail has been in publication since 1893.
