Tuesday evening Logan-Rogersville’s softball went head to head against the Marshfield Blue Jays. Winning 7-3 the team is now standing at 17 wins with only 8 losses on the season. With Jenna Mckenzie, senior, on the mound for L-R the Jays allowed eight hits with only three runs scored.
In the first three innings of the game, both teams had runners on but neither allowed a run. In the bottom of the fourth L-R began their six-run rally. Macie Warren, Senior, was on the mound for the Jays. Warren allowed seven hits with seven runs scored. After L-R’s six run inning, they only ran one more across the plate in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Marshfield got a point on the board in the top of the sixth inning and then trying to rally in the seventh with two more runs scored but came up four shy of Logan-Rogersville seven runs.
Between games, L-R used their last home game to honor their seniors. Each senior with the program was announced while walking across the field with their family. They shared their favorite memories and future plans with the fans in the stands.
