The Webster County Historical Society is pleased to announce the latest issue of the Webster County Plat Book is now available.
The colorful cover pays tribute to the tomato canning industry in Webster County and features some of the labeled cans so prominent at that time.
A new feature with the issue is the aerial map alongside each township map. Also, in addition to the regular landowners’ index, there is also an index for landowners for which only their initials appear because the park is too small to allow the full name.
The Society contacted with Mapping Solutions to format the book but printing was done locally by Webster County printing.
The publication is a fundraiser for the Historical Society. Books sell for $30 and may be purchased at the County Clerk’s Office, DD Hamilton, FCNB Insurance, the Museum and athletic the Seymour Bank in Seymour. Wall maps and smart maps may also be obtained through Mapping Solutions. These purchases also benefit the Society. These purchases also benefit the Society.
