In an effort to reach a greater number of its residents, the Webster County Health Unit is announcing an expansion of its mobile public health outreach program. Scott Allen, Administrator for the Health Unit says “By adding these additional visits across the county, we hope to address the needs of our county’s most vulnerable residents”. Allen went on to explain “This change will have us visiting many of the homes of our seniors, some of who can’t travel for routine healthcare services”.

The Dickerson Park Zoo is celebrating its 100th birthday this year — and Community Blood Center of the Ozarks donors are invited to join the party. CBCO, the sole supplier of blood, platelets, and plasma to patients at 44 area healthcare facilities, is partnering with the Dickerson Park Zoo to help boost the region’s blood supply for local patients.

The Evelyn Hampton Garden Club met for their monthly meeting on Friday, July 21st at 1 pm at Webco Manor Nursing Home. This was the second month that the club had met in the sunroom to allow the club's namesake, Evelyn Hampton, to attend. Those present included: Blanche Firestone, Carolyn Moye, Wanda Swenson, Dianna Witte, Judy DeLeon, McKinley Gray, Laurie Ford, Nicholas Inman, Jan Gallagher, Kathleen Shanks (guest of Blanche Firestone) and Evelyn Hampton. Absent were club members: Joyce Lawson, Reagan Inman, Wanda Zavala, Joyce Inman, Martha Myers and Virginia Winfrey.
